BlogPress App Reviews

Good app

Use it from both iPhone and iPad. It never failed or give unexpected results. App us very comfortable to use even on iPhone. There are some design issues. Like if you use two or more blogs, then it is not easy to find out quickly to which one you have just posted. :) Or the "write new post" button is in the left-bottom of the screen for iPad version... Even using it daily it us hard to get used to it and find it quickly. So app deserves good - 4 stars. I use text writing with HTML. Never used photo insertion. Work with two blogs on LJ.

Problems with pictures

I was trying to write a post in a blogger. All pictures were uploaded with very bad resolution. Impossible to post them with big size.

Name it a "beta" and make it free

Very unstable, always crashing. Last time it crashed and dont start again. Lost my text while tried to save draft.

I need moneyback

This app can be used only if your Internet connection is weak or your internet traffic not cheap. In other way posting on your blogs using web interface is much more comfortable because this app dont let you do anything except posting simple text and photos from your pictures gallery. Dont worth its money!

Good application

I using it for write posts to my blogspots blog. All ok, I am happy.

html, pictures

very inconvenient program. one can write posts only on html. and the pictures can be uploaded only from the device (its impossible to import them from the internet) and the resoltion by default is 200x200. so if you want to upload more or less high quality image, it would be compressed first and then, if you change resolution, would look like a set of pixels. the price of $5 is absolutely inadequate to the quality.

mmm...

its a cool app, but for me its still crashing with Livejournal, even if I updated it...

Awful

Awful. Keeps saying failure to load. So worthless

subscription warning

Developer, Subscription model: I don’t like over paying for an app over and over again. I don’t want to spend 50.00 a month (for 20 apps) to use needed apps. My budget will not allow it. Basically I will be "buying" an app for big bucks over time instead of a reasonable fee one time fee which I could save up or stagger buying over time. Many app store users are on limited income/SSI/SNAP. Allow me to prepay a year or still offer a one time cost for several years at a reasonable price. If you lock out my already paid for App; I will fight you. I will not be abused.

Could be saves

This used to be a great ap. Now I cant post pictures at all. I used to love it, now I dread having to post from the iPad.

Does not work

I have been unable to publish any posts. When I select, "Publish Now," I get an error message, "Failed, some problems uploading photos."

Nice application destroyed by new owners

I used to enjoy blog press, but now its broken and worthless. The site and app wont let you post any photos from your iPhone or iPad or even an inline link from Flickr. The app just doesnt work and the earlier blog I worked on has all its photos missing. A complete fail.

Please get it together

Just an overall garbage app that has been abandoned by developers. I suggest skipping this one.

No longer working

We used this app in 2011 to blog a 5 week bike tour. Tried to use this again in 2016 on a 3 week tour and it crashed and lost our posts many times. I will not be using this app any longer.

Total failure

One star is too generous. If a blogging app wont upload pictures, what good is it?

Wish I could give minus 5 stars

Why is this still App being offered when it does not work? I had to purchase another App because this App is never worked again. Hey App Store, get rid of this.

Waste of money

Will not upload photos.

Oh NO!

Had to revert back to IS version of Blog Press when the newer one just quit unexpectedly. Does not post photos - does not have the option to share on Google+, and so many other negatives, I wont waste my time mentioning. The failure of this app makes me want to switch to WordPress

Surprisingly primitive

I took a chance on purchasing this app because of some good reviews. Im about three blocks, but if you read my review here you can avoid that mistake. I was amazed that in late 2016 and I could not find a decent App for Blogger (One of the best known blogs) for use on an iPhone (The most popular smart phone). I was genuinely shocked at how simple, featureless, and even primitive this app is. But if you compare what you can do on Blogger in a typical web browser on a computer with this app there is simply no comparison. The description of this app should be "a bare bones interface that allows you to make minimalistic posts, but dont expect too much more than that." If that had been the description, and if thats what I wanted, then this app would be great. I now appreciate that I can do nearly all the things on my iPhone that I can do with a computer as long as I am willing to use the desktop version (which means scrolling all over the place with my fingers in order to do things). I was hoping to have similar functionality in a well designed mobile app. Apparently the Blogger app designed for the iPhone was used by so few people that they dropped it. When I used it a year ago, it too was pretty limited. Oh well, live and learn.
